The Werner LDPFIAA06 LEANSAFE X3 is a professional 3-in-1 multi-purpose ladder that seamlessly changes from a step to straight ladder in one adjustment. With a duty rating of 375 lbs., the LEANSAFE X3 ladder is uniquely designed to securely lean against flat wall surfaces, wall corners, poles, and wall studs and perform as a standard stepladder. A 2-color design and highly visible LEANSAFE X3 logos make this ladder easily distinguishable from a standard stepladder. The all-in-one top secures tools and accessories. The single latch design stays engaged when needed and is centrally located to easily open and close. LEANSAFE X3 ladder front feet have non-marring rubber foot pads that maximize the surface area in both the step ladder and leaning ladder modes.

This ladder has the flexibility to do pretty much everything I need to do around the house. Install ceiling fan, clean out the gutters, etc. It feels sturdy, and much lighter than those "Little Giant" ladders with similar versatility. The foot pads have good grip. I read a review on this ladder where someone said they dropped it and the locking mechanism broke - I can see how that could happen, and that would be the one weak point of this ladder. I'll keep that in mind and try to avoid abusing that mechanism.

I really like this ladder. As a big guy, its 375 lb rating gives me a lot of extra safety margin while hoisting heavier objects up the ladder. The hinge system allows you to quickly close the ladder to the storage position, use it as a six foot leaner or extend it to a nine foot straight ladder. Overall, the ladder is very sturdy feeling, with no wiggling at all. It weighs a very manageable 24 lb.

I have had this ladder for about a month now. Thus far, it has been very handy and done exactly what I have needed it for. The extra trays are very useful, the extension is easy to use, and the ladder is still lighter in weight when carrying on the job site. Will probably never buy a regular 6' a-frame ladder again.
